Productivity

I've started getting shifts at my new (part time) job, which is wonderful. Even better? I work 4:30 AM - 8:30 AM. I know, I know, that sounds like it should be a really sucky shift. But for an (anti social) horse person, it's actually kind of awesome. I just roll out of bed, go to work (in my riding /barn clothes even), have no interruptions and get a ton done, then still have all day to do other productive things play with the ponies!

I'm writing this at noon, and I've already:

-Worked half a day

-Been to the barn, groomed 2 horses, rode 1:
It rained. Pony was really spooky and hot. We got soaked and muddy. It was still fun.

-Ran some errands, including buying Bridget's Christmas present (evil laugh):

I got her the sparkly festive one at least?

-Went for a run, had a shower, made lunch and caught up on all the blogs.

Granted, this is a small place so I spend almost zero time commuting anywhere, and I will be in bed by 8, but still...I think I could get used to this!

    1. It's hard! True story - I had a christmas party to go to last night and was so exhausted by midnight I couldn't even drive myself home. And I wasn't drinking either :)

    1. Normally she's fine, but that photo yesterday was maybe a little risky! She was feeling really good, so it was all about taking a picture and still keeping both hands on the wheel :)

    1. I actually do think she'll like it better than the little jumping bat I'm using currently. But I may have to get her something edible as well so she'll still want to be friends with me!

  5. My favorite shift to work was Noon to 7. I still had time to socialize after and I could ride in the morning. :)

  6. You can't NOT have a sparkly crop hehehe. GLITTER PEOPLE! GLITTER! Anyway, I love work 12-7 or split shifts. Especially during the summer. But now that I'm "important" at work... I will be seeing a lot more 12-hours. TAKE IT WHEN YOU CAN GET IT! :)

    1. Since she's a pony, I think sparky glitter stuff is even more of a requirement!
Agreed, I take whatever work I can get. Congrats on your promotion :)

  7. Ooh I am so envious of your current work schedule--the 4:30 am part is a bit extreme but you can't beat having all that time for horsies, exercise & errands! :)
